WEEKEND IN PICTURES

Early Saturday afternoon, I was wandering around town when I heard the BOOM BOOM BOOM of the all-too-familiar vile Orange Walks. Only, when the march turned onto Nelson Mandela Place - lo and behold - it was Glasgow's annual Pride March! Now THIS is my kinda march! Although the parade only lasted about 5 minutes, I loved watching all the people go by, smiling and waving and calling out to the crowds in thick Glaswegian accents.

The way you phrased it, it sounded as if the incredibly prejudiced, freakish, evil Orangemen turned into diversity-loving folk for about a block! Wow. What a transormation!
